Family Woodland Days

At Lymley Wood children of all ages and abilities can enjoy the space, develop new skills in a natural environment and have plenty of fresh air and outdoor fun.

The more time children spend outdoors, connecting with the natural world, the more they gain 'Nature Connectedness'. This connectedness helps them to learn how to appreciate and take care of our planet as they grow up.

Its also great for parents to spend time in nature playing and exploring with their children and getting lost in a world of imagination and natural beauty.

Our Family Forest Days are parents ‘stay and play’ events where you can share experiences, get your hands dirty, explore and learn together creating shared memories, playing games together, making things to take home and learning new skills.

"Mother Nature doesn't force the child. She inspires them forward wonder by wonder to take a path and pace all their own."
- Nicolette Sowder

"We ventured to Lymley over the autumn half term break and boy oh boy...what a lovely surprise we were met with. Lymley is a gorgeous space. It has a magical and healing feel about it.  I went with my children who are 3 and 7. The boys were preoccupied every minute of the day. Whether it was gathering logs in wheelbarrows for fire making, funghi spotting , never ending exploration, cooking together or just running aimlessly around in the fields.. there was never a dull moment."
